We’re looking for a dedicated Spray Booth Operative to take ownership of our finishing department and become an important part of our growing team.
The Role
This is far more than simply spraying timber.
You’ll be responsible for running of our spray booth, ensuring every product leaves with a flawless finish while keeping the department organised, efficient and fully stocked.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day to day running of the spray booth.
- Preparing and spraying bespoke timber windows, doors and joinery.
- Maintaining exceptionally high finishing standards.
- Managing paint, coatings and consumable stock levels.
- Monitoring stock as required.
- Keeping the spray booth clean, organised and operating efficiently.
- Carrying out quality checks before products leave the department.
- Looking after spray equipment and ensuring routine maintenance is completed.
- Working closely with the workshop team to meet production deadlines.
- Following all health and safety procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating spray booths and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of top-quality items. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with an interest in manufacturing, painting, and fabrication processes.
Duties
- Prepare products and surfaces for spraying by cleaning, masking, and sanding as required
- Operate spray booths efficiently, ensuring consistent application of coatings according to specifications
- Set up and adjust spray equipment, including hand tools and power tools, to achieve desired finishes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, identifying and reporting any faults or maintenance needs
- Assist with assembly, fabrication, or other related tasks as needed within the workshop
- Follow detailed instructions and work within specified quality standards to ensure optimal finish quality
- Use basic maths skills to measure and mix paints or coatings accurately
Experience
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of basic maths for measurements and calculations in a manufacturing setting
- Experience working with spray equipment or in environments involving surface finishing is a plus

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
