We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and confident professional to join our busy and welcoming Admissions team. This is an exciting opportunity for a personable individual with strong organisational and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail. Applicants will ideally have previous experience in a customer-facing environment, together with strong IT and database skills, and preferably use of CRM systems. They should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues across the School. A strong commitment to customer service will ensure that the successful candidate plays an invaluable role in delivering a warm, efficient and professional experience to prospective families throughout their admissions journey.
Previous experience within an independent school is not essential; however, applicants should be aligned with the School’s values and aims, and demonstrate an understanding of the importance of professionalism, discretion and relationship-building within a school environment.
Purpose
The Admissions Marketing and Communications Assistant provides administrative and communications support to the Admissions Office, ensuring that prospective families receive a friendly, professional and efficient admissions service throughout their admissions journey.
The role supports the operational delivery of admissions processes, events and communications, while assisting with the preparation and development of materials that present the school effectively to prospective families. As a key representative of the face of this leading independent school, a welcoming, professional and polished outlook and appearance is expected.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent, full-time, year-round position. Full-time working days and hours for Administrative staff at Harrodian are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 to 17h00 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break, totaling 42.50 hours per week. It is a requirement of the post to attend Admissions events for Open Days and Assessments on four Saturdays and one evening and these currently take place between October and January. Time off in lieu during the school holidays will be given for these events. There will be a certain flexibility to allow for some working from home during school holidays. Working hours during the holidays are reduced by an hour with no impact on pay.
Five staff training days are held over the year, at the start of the Autumn, October half, and Spring terms. Term dates are published on the School’s website HERE
Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to be available to join us on 19th August for training & induction. Alternatively, we may be able to offer your initial training and induction on a flexible basis across June/July, prior to a September start date. Salary and Benefits
The salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a guideline, the gross annual full-time, year-round salary range for this post will be £28,000 to £33,000.
