The Role
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading a team to success? We’re looking for a hands-on Housekeeping Laundry Supervisor to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our busy 304-bedroom hotel.
You’ll take a hands-on approach to supervising, coaching, and developing the team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Working closely with colleagues across the Rooms Division, you’ll play a key role in creating a seamless and memorable guest experience.
This is a fast-paced, physically active role where attention to detail and strong leadership are key.
Job purpose: The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day laundry operation to ensure the efficient processing, quality control, and distribution of hotel linen, guest laundry, staff uniforms, and associated housekeeping supplies. The role ensures the operational needs of the business are met while delivering excellent guest satisfaction and a positive team member experience.
The Laundry Supervisor provides day to day leadership and supports the delivery of high cleanliness standards, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest satisfaction. This is a fully operational, hands-on role that provides day-to-day support to the Laundry Team.
The role is also responsible for supervising the collection of soiled linen and waste from guest bedrooms, ensuring beds are stripped efficiently to support housekeeping operations, and overseeing the safe and efficient movement of linen, supplies, and other goods to and from designated storage areas to maintain stock availability and operational readiness.
Role demands:
· A physically active role requiring regular walking, standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and manual handling
· Working in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times and changing priorities
· Managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
· Responsibility for maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards across a large hotel operation
· Handling guest queries and occasional complaints in a professional and timely manner
About You
· Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment
· Supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred)
· A passion for delivering great guest service
· Strong communication and organisational skills
· A positive, hands-on, and flexible approach
· Confidence using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office; hotel systems experience is a plus)
