Full-Time Sales Negotiator
Clare Davies Estate Agents / CD CollectiveFull Time | 5 Days Per Week | Some Weekend Working Required
We’re growing, and I’m looking for an experienced Sales Negotiator to join our small but very busy team.
This isn’t your typical corporate estate agency role.
We’re a personal, independent agency where our clients genuinely matter. We pride ourselves on doing things differently — being available, being proactive, knowing our clients and buyers properly, and providing a level of service that people remember and recommend.
Because we’re a small business, I’m looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in. There will be core responsibilities to the role, but equally, some days it will simply be a case of doing whatever the business needs to make sure our clients are looked after and things get done.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of a busy estate agency, dealing with sellers, buyers, solicitors, mortgage brokers and the rest of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling incoming calls, emails and property enquiries
- Speaking with buyers and understanding exactly what they’re looking for
- Booking and carrying out property viewings
- Following up viewings and providing constructive feedback to vendors
- Negotiating offers between buyers and sellers
- Qualifying buyers and checking their position before offers are agreed
- Keeping in regular contact with our vendors and providing updates
- Proactively matching buyers to new and existing properties
- Following up leads and enquiries rather than simply waiting for the phone to ring
- Booking valuations and identifying potential new business opportunities
- Supporting with sales progression where required
- Liaising with solicitors, mortgage brokers and other agents throughout transactions
- Keeping our CRM accurate and up to date
- Helping with new property launches, open houses and busy viewing days
- Supporting the wider team with general administration when needed
- And, ultimately, being willing to turn your hand to whatever the business needs
Who I’m Looking For
Experience in estate agency sales is important for this role, but personality and attitude are just as important to me.
I want somebody who is confident, personable and genuinely good with people.
You’ll need to be proactive and comfortable picking up the phone, building relationships, chasing opportunities and having honest conversations with both buyers and sellers.
You’ll also need to be organised. We’re busy, things move quickly and there are usually a lot of plates spinning at once!.
The Kind of Person Who Will Fit In
Someone who:
- Has previous estate agency/sales negotiating experience
- Loves property and genuinely enjoys dealing with people
- Is confident without being pushy
- Can build rapport quickly with buyers and sellers
- Is proactive and commercially minded
- Has strong communication and negotiation skills
- Is organised and able to manage a busy workload
- Takes pride in delivering brilliant customer service
- Can work independently and use their initiative
- Is comfortable working within a small, growing business
- Wants to contribute ideas and be part of where the business is going
- Has a full UK driving licence and access to a car
Hours & Flexibility
This is a full-time position, working five days per week, generally around 9am–5pm.
Estate agency isn’t always a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 job, so some weekend and occasional out-of-hours working will be required.
In return, I believe in flexibility and treating people like adults. We’re not about sitting behind a desk just because that’s how estate agency has always been done. There will be flexibility and opportunities to work from home where the role and business allow.
Why Join Us?
We’re not trying to be another high-street estate agency.
We’re building a modern, personal property business with a strong local reputation, brilliant marketing and a very hands-on approach to our clients.
You’ll be joining at an exciting stage where there is real opportunity to grow with the business, take on more responsibility and be rewarded for the contribution you make.
I want someone who isn’t just looking for their next job — I want somebody who wants to become a really important part of the team.
If you’re an experienced Sales Negotiator who loves property, loves people and wants to work somewhere that does things a little differently, I’d love to hear from you.
Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
