Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Site Engineers to join our Civil Engineering team. These entry-level roles offer a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality standards, and supporting site operations.
The role of Site Engineer to the Civils Division, will provide high quality operational and technical support. You will be responsible for site setting out, liaising with and supervising subcontractors, analysing design and specifications, quality documentation and compliance, As Built progress surveys. Raising TQ’s and maintaining ITP’s. Coordinating testing regimes. General site supervision. Maintaining and expanding site control networks. Creating, briefing and controlling permit distribution. Scanning for services etc. Integral operational role in the success of all schemes.
Duties
- Site setting out, line and level control for all elements of work
- Monitoring materials and ordering as required via appropriate resource
- Site surveying and maintaining as built records
- Maintaining and expanding site control networks
- Impeccable Health and Safety compliance and awareness
- Creating, briefing and issuing permits
- Toolbox Talk’s
- Controlling and communicating material use
- Contributing to daily site meetings, both internal and external
- Prepare and undertake site inductions
- Utilising and advocating all technology available such as Site-vision, lidar etc. in accordance with MJC standard commitments.
Requirements
- Recent graduation with a degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Basic understanding of construction processes and site management principles
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Eagerness to learn, adapt quickly, and develop technical expertise in construction engineering
