Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to a variety of outdoor maintenance and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the aesthetic appeal and functionality of landscaped areas, working under the guidance of experienced professionals. Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilising
- Operating hand tools such as spades, rakes, and secateurs to carry out gardening activities
- Using power tools and machinery like trimmers, blowers, and small excavators for site preparation and maintenance
- Supporting irrigation system installation, repair, and upkeep to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas
- Conducting general site clean-up and waste removal to maintain tidy work environments
- Assisting with construction activities such as setting up structures or pathways under supervision
- Performing routine equipment maintenance to ensure optimal operation of tools and machinery
- Supporting team members with various labouring duties on-site as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and small machinery is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Physical fitness to undertake manual labour tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining high standards of work
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid relevant certification or qualifications in construction or horticulture are beneficial but not mandatory
