It’s an exciting time to join us. As EPC continues to grow, we’re looking for a Planning & Logistics Manager to strengthen how we plan, schedule and coordinate work across our manufacturing operation.
This is a role at the heart of the business. You’ll bring together customer demand, materials, capacity and information to create a clear and achievable plan.
Good planning here isn’t just about systems and schedules. It’s about people too. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales and Procurement to connect priorities, solve problems and keep work moving.
What’s the Opportunity?
You’ll take ownership of planning, scheduling and logistics across EPC. Your focus will be on creating greater visibility and control from customer demand through to delivery.
A big part of your impact will come from how well you work with others. You’ll bring different parts of the operation together around a shared plan. You’ll identify constraints early and help people make informed decisions when priorities compete.
You’ll also help us strengthen our planning processes and make better use of data and systems. As EPC grows, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how our planning and logistics capability develops with it.
What Will I Be Doing?
You’ll:
- Translate customer demand and business priorities into clear, achievable production plans and schedules.
- Align materials, capacity and information so work can flow effectively through the operation.
- Work across Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales and Procurement to align priorities and resolve constraints.
- Use data and KPIs to understand performance, identify risks and support better decisions.
- Manage inventory, supplier performance and logistics activity to support reliable customer delivery.
- Improve our planning systems, processes and ways of working.
- Identify opportunities to improve flow, efficiency, inventory and delivery performance.
- Build strong relationships across the business and encourage shared ownership of the plan.
What Are You Looking For?
We’re looking for someone who understands how good planning can improve the performance of a manufacturing operation.
You’ll also understand that making a plan work is as much about people as systems and data. You’ll build strong relationships, communicate clearly and bring people together around shared priorities.
You’ll be comfortable challenging constructively and working through competing demands. You’ll be able to influence across different functions and keep things moving when priorities change.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in planning, scheduling or logistics within manufacturing, engineering or production.
- A good understanding of production scheduling, material planning, inventory and logistics.
- Confidence using data, KPIs and planning systems to support decisions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to balance customer needs with capacity, materials, inventory and cost.
- A practical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong organisation and the ability to adapt in a busy environment.
Experience in aerospace, medical devices, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Experience with ERP or MRP systems, Lean, Six Sigma or S&OP would also be an advantage.
You don’t need to tick every box. We’re interested in the experience you bring, but equally in how you work with people, solve problems and create clarity. What Will Success Look Like?
Planning will be clear, visible and trusted across the operation. Customer commitments will be delivered reliably. Materials and capacity will be better aligned and potential problems will be identified earlier.
People across the business will understand the plan and how their work contributes to it. Teams will work together to resolve problems and respond to changing priorities.
Ultimately, you’ll help create a more connected, forward-looking and predictable operation as EPC continues to grow.
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
