Wavertree House nursing home is looking for a Property maintenance Manager to join their team
To ensure all safety checks are maintained and ensure correct paperwork is adhered to in relation to contractors and visitors .
To complete all necessary maintenance and repair tasks within given timeframes to a high standard.
Act as a Health & Safety Officer responsible for safety of residents & staff at all times inside the buildings and within the grounds
Undertake PAT testing where required and an annual pat test of all equipment in the home.
To maintain a safe working environment through observation and implementation of Health and Safety and Environmental Health Regulations in order to meet statutory and Wavertree House requirements
Ensure all statutory records are kept relevant and current : where records are unable to be kept on a daily / weekly / monthly basis to inform the manager
To ensure compliance with regulations, regular checks and inspections to be carried out in relation to:
· Water temperatures
· Legionella
· Fire alarm systems
· Electrical equipment
· Manual handling equipment
· Profile Beds
· Call system
General handyman experience is preferred with an extensive working knowledge of a variety of general maintenance jobs.
Good understanding of building services including:
· Heating
· Hot water systems
· Cold water distributions
· Ventilation systems
· Electrical distribution
· Plumbing
Previous experience working in a care home would be very advantageous.
When off-site be available for advice and to be called out in an emergency situation
