Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
- Support the organisation of kitchen supplies and ensure storage areas are tidy and well-stocked
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold environmental standards
- Support serving staff by clearing tables and assisting with basic customer service duties when needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is essential.
- Familiarity with restaurant or pub kitchen environments
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards and safety protocols in food service settings
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues and serving guests
- Basic knowledge of culinary practices or previous kitchen experience
