Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller to oversee inventory management within our organisation. This is a hands-on role that combines physical stock control with accurate record-keeping and process management. This role requires strong attention to details and familiarity with warehouse management systems. The Stock Controller will play a vital part in improving overall inventory accuracy.
Duties
- Maintain accurate stock records across all product lines, ensuring the system reflects real-time stock levels at all times.
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, verifying all deliveries and despatches against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic full stock takes, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Operate forklift trucks to move, locate, and organise stock safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment in line with health and safety requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience in warehouse management or stock control roles within logistics or retail environments.
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks without close supervision.
