Your Role
This is a hands‑on position where you’ll be actively involved in the day‑to‑day running of sites as well as leading the team. You’ll work alongside trades and contractors, setting the standard on site while ensuring programmes and quality targets are met. Many of our projects involve private residential properties, so professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail are essential when working in clients’ homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for the smooth running of sites, from set‑up to completion
- Working directly with master builders, craftsmen, and contractors to deliver exceptional results
- Producing and working to short‑term and long‑term programmes to ensure delivery
- Quality assurance, including auditing works undertaken by all team members
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making to keep projects on track
- Representing the business on site with professionalism and integrity
- Ordering materials in a timely manner to keep projects on schedule
- Supporting Contract Managers with progress updates and client communication
- Championing safety, workmanship, and attention to detail on every job
- Leading by example — solving problems on site and keeping the team motivated
- Reading, understanding, and working accurately from architects’ drawings, structural engineers’ details, and technical specifications
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Site Manager or Working Site Supervisor, ideally with heritage or high‑end construction projects
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver programmes effectively
- A practical, collaborative approach with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of construction processes and commercial awareness
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings confidently
- Relevant qualifications and training (SMSTS, First Aid, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
