Print Finishing Operative or Supervisor
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Print Finishing Operative to join a well-established and busy print production environment.

- £28,000 - £36,000 dependent on level of experience
- Monday to Friday, afternoons
- Full time, permanent positions
- Ideal for someone with either or all - guillotine, stitching, folding
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in litho print finishing who is confident operating a range of finishing machinery and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
The Role
Working within the finishing department, you will be responsible for producing finished print products accurately, efficiently and in line with production schedules.
You will work across a variety of finishing equipment depending on your experience and training, while ensuring quality, health & safety and production standards are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of print finishing machinery
- Produce finished products accurately and to required quality standards
- Ensure jobs are completed in line with production deadlines
- Work flexibly across different machines and finishing processes
- Monitor workflow and communicate any potential production issues
- Complete relevant production documentation accurately
- Ensure effective handovers between shifts
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
- Support and train junior operatives where required
- Work closely with colleagues across production to ensure jobs move efficiently between departments
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
Machinery Experience
Experience operating some or all of the following would be highly desirable:
- Guillotines
- Folders
- Saddle Stitchers
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a litho print finishing environment
- Good knowledge of print finishing machinery and processes
- Strong attention to detail
- A methodical and organised approach
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a production team
- A proactive approach to meeting deadlines
- Good problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work across different finishing equipment
- Leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous
This would suit an experienced Guillotine Operator, Print Finisher, Finishing Operative, Print Machine Operator, Bindery Operative or Print Finishing Technician looking to join a busy and established production environment.
