Excellence-Solutions is a dynamic and growing training provider, committed to delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes across a range of sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Nurse Tutor Assessor to support our Dental Nurse (Level 3) apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
● Deliver engaging training sessions and one-to-one support to apprentices on the programme
● Assess learners against the Dental Nurse apprenticeship standard, ensuring progress and timely achievement
● Provide constructive feedback and guidance to develop learner knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs)
● Complete all required documentation, reviews, and reports in line with ESFA and Ofsted requirements
● Liaise with employers (dental practices) to ensure the apprenticeship programme supports business needs and learner development
● Use e-portfolio systems such as OneFile confidently to manage portfolios, assessments, feedback, and tracking
● Support learners through Gateway and prepare them for End-Point Assessment (EPA) with our EPAO, NCFE
● Actively promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, and British Values
Essential Criteria
● Current GDC registration as a Dental Nurse, with a minimum of 2–3 years' post-qualification experience
● Practical, up-to-date knowledge of dental nursing practice, infection control, and CQC standards
● Ability to explain technical dental nursing concepts clearly to learners at different levels
● Assessor qualification (TAQA / CAVA / A1 or equivalent), with experience assessing or teaching on apprenticeship programmes
● Experience delivering apprenticeships at Level 3
● Confident, competent use of e-portfolio platforms such as OneFile
● Understanding of ESFA funding rules, off-the-job hours (OTJH), and safeguarding requirements
● Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
● Competency in using digital learning platforms and online delivery tools
Desirable
● IQA qualification
● Experience preparing learners for EPA
● Experience working with vulnerable learners
