Glasgow University Union are looking for staff to join our core Conference & Events team for the summer period and into the next academic year.
This is a varied role working different types of events with a mix of daytime and evening shifts to suit availability - from banquet dinners and conferences, to drinks receptions and bars, with bar work being a substantial part of the job. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, and should be hard working, reliable and able to provide excellent customer service.
Experience in a similar customer facing role is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Hours are as required dependent on business, and will involve both day and evening shifts. Ideally the candidate will be available to work at least two shifts per week. We also offer a staff meal during café opening times, and subsidised taxis home after 11pm.
Interviews will take place on 10th or 11th August.
