SIA Operative – Events
Location: Event venues across the UK
Pay: £13.79 per hour
Contract: Casual event work with flexible shifts
We are recruiting professional, confident and customer-focused SIA Door Supervisors to join our event security team, supporting major venues and live events across the UK. You could be working at sporting fixtures, concerts, festivals and high-profile venues including Coventry City FC, Derby County FC, Burnley FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Silverstone Race Circuit, Everton FC, Manchester United and many more. Transport to selected events may be available where required.

Through our Event Services, Training and temporary Hostile Vehicle Mitigation operations, we help create safe, welcoming environments for some of the UK’s biggest events. We are looking for reliable team members who take pride in delivering excellent customer service while helping to keep the public, staff and venues safe.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a professional, friendly and visible security presence at venues and events
- Welcome visitors, support customer enquiries and help create a positive first impression
- Carry out access control duties, including checking tickets, passes, accreditation and restricted-area permissions where required
- Conduct searches of bags and persons in line with site procedures and legal requirements
- Support safe crowd movement, queue management and the flow of foot traffic around the venue
- Monitor public areas, entrances, exits, hospitality spaces, VIP areas and back-of-house zones as directed
- Identify and report risks, hazards, suspicious behaviour or developing incidents to supervisors and control teams
- Use calm communication and conflict-management skills to help prevent issues from escalating
- Assist with incident response, ejections, safeguarding concerns and emergency procedures when required
- Support venue policies including alcohol controls, smoking and vaping restrictions, safe-standing guidance and prohibited items
- Assist with evacuations, area sweeps and clearing restricted or closed areas
- Work closely with stewards, traffic, car park, hospitality and venue teams to support the smooth running of each event
- Complete duties in line with assignment instructions, company standards, licensing conditions and health and safety requirements
Essential requirements:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role
- The right to work in the UK
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- A calm, professional and confident approach in busy or high-pressure environments
- Strong customer service skills and a helpful, approachable manner
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to follow instructions and venue procedures
- Previous experience in event security, stewarding, customer service, hospitality, traffic management or front-of-house roles is desirable but not essential
Hours of work:
Shift times vary depending on the event, with early, late, evening and weekend shifts available.
Work is offered on a casual basis, giving you the flexibility to choose shifts around your existing commitments.
Rate of pay:
£13.79 per hour.
