Raoul Wigmakers is an independent business based in Paddington London.
We are looking for a full-time Hair stylist/ Wig consultant to join our friendly team in London's Oldest Wig Making Studio, Established 1899. We see a range of clients from the NHS and privately with cosmetic, theatrical and medical requirements. The applicant would need to friendly, patient and empathetic as well as being well mannered and have strong people skills. The role would include cutting, colouring and styling wigs, hairpieces and also some salon hairdressing. Although highly preferable previous experience of working with wigs is not necessarily essential, however knowledge of wigs and an enthusiasm to learn more about them is paramount. The hours would be Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with the occasional late night.
The above salary range is before commission and we would expect commission to average between £200 - £400 a month.
The applicant must be NVQ level 3 trained or have 5+ years of hairdressing salon experience, classic cutting and styling skills, full colour knowledge, with a keen willingness to learn and develop their skill set.
The nature of the industry means the applicant will be working in a fast-paced environment, the applicant should work with a sense of urgency, have a can-do attitude, be able to work well alone as well as in a team, be able to take direction and be willing to prioritise their workload to keep to deadlines.
