Job Summary
We are seeking 2 experienced HGV C+E Tramper drivers based in Blackburn to work on a PAYE or self-employed basis. This role involves long-distance freight transport, including nights out, with a focus on curtain-side deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate curtainside HGV lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods
- Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams
Requirements
- Valid C+E driving licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, with 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, tachograph rules, and legal requirements for heavy goods vehicle operation
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
- Flexibility to undertake nights out as part of the role, with a positive attitude towards extended working hours
- £800 PAYE Plus £25 Nights out OR £900 Plus £25 Nights out Self Employed
