CLS Contract Labour Solutions are supporting our market-leading international brand client with the recruitment Quantity Surveyors to join their growing Property Construction Team. This is an exciting opportunity for commercially minded Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of asset management, refurbishment, maintenance and trading projects across a large-scale national property portfolio.
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 DOE

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered with effective cost control, commercial governance and value for money. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Finance teams, contractors and suppliers, you will support projects from feasibility stage through to completion. This position would suit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies, estimates and project budgets.
- Support procurement activities and tender processes across multiple workstreams.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and commercial performance throughout delivery.
- Review valuations, variations, change requests and interim payments.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Produce accurate commercial reports and cost tracking information.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Finance teams.
- Provide commercial advice and support to key stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across commercial processes and reporting.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management role.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, budgeting and cost control.
- Experience managing projects against challenging cost targets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience gained within client-side, consultancy, property, construction, retail or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates, framework agreements and standard forms of contract.
- Experience supporting refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance or capital investment projects.
