Greenville IDC Limited is seeking an experienced and professional Part-Time HR Officer to join our team and provide practical, proactive HR support across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is looking for a flexible part-time role within an established SME environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and management team, providing day-to-day HR support and helping ensure that the company maintains effective people-management processes and appropriate employment practices.
You will play an important role in supporting our employees throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, employee relations and ongoing development.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional HR service to the business, including:
- Managing day-to-day HR administration and employee records.
- Supporting recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees.
- Preparing employment contracts, letters and HR documentation.
- Managing holiday, sickness and absence records.
- Supporting managers with employee relations matters.
- Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures.
- Supporting probationary and performance reviews.
- Maintaining and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
- Keeping management informed of relevant employment legislation and HR developments.
- Supporting employee training and development.
- Maintaining appropriate training and certification records.
- Promoting positive employee relations and good communication.
- Ensuring HR records are maintained securely and confidentially.
- Liaising with external HR advisers and professional advisers when specialist support is required.
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to management and employees.
About You
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident working independently and can provide practical, commercially focused HR support.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Adviser or similar role.
- A good understanding of UK and Northern Ireland employment practices.
- Experience dealing with employee relations matters.
- Strong HR administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- A practical and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while also working closely with management.
- Good knowledge of employment policies and procedures.
A CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will provide support across:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Recruitment administration and candidate coordination.
- Employment documentation and pre-employment checks.
- New employee onboarding and induction.
Employee Relations
- Employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Capability and performance management.
- Support for managers dealing with employee issues.
Absence & Attendance
- Monitoring sickness absence.
- Return-to-work processes.
- Supporting management with longer-term or recurring absence.
HR Compliance
- Maintaining HR policies and procedures.
- Employee records and documentation.
- Supporting compliance with applicable employment requirements.
- Liaising with external HR advisers where necessary.
Training & Development
- Maintaining training records.
- Coordinating training.
- Supporting employee development and performance reviews.
Working Pattern
This is a part-time position, expected to be approximately 2–3 days per week, although the exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.
We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements for the right person.
The role will involve working from the Greenville IDC Limited premises when required for employee meetings, management meetings and other HR activities.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Competitive and dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The final package will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and will reflect the experience and level of responsibility of the successful applicant.
Pay: £13,218.00-£45,410.35 per year
