We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Manager to lead our HR function and help us continue to develop and support our people across our growing group of care homes.

The Role
As HR Manager, you will lead and develop the HR department, managing a team comprising a HR Advisor, HR Officer and Business Administrator. You will provide strategic and operational HR support across the business, working closely with managers and senior leaders to ensure our people are supported to be the best they can be.
The role will involve regular travel to our 8 care homes, building strong relationships with managers and staff, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring HR practices support both employee wellbeing and business objectives.
You will also take responsibility for the management and scheduling of employee training across the group, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements and supporting ongoing professional development.
As a licensed sponsor, Your Health employs overseas workers under the UK sponsorship system. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the Sponsorship Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with all Home Office requirements, maintaining accurate records, reporting relevant changes within required timescales, and supporting the organisation in meeting its duties as a sponsor licence holder.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the HR team.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Support recruitment, retention and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant and effective.
- Manage training schedules and monitor compliance with mandatory and statutory training requirements.
- Manage the organisation’s Sponsorship Management System (SMS) and ensure ongoing compliance with Home Office sponsor licence obligations.
- Maintain accurate sponsorship records and ensure all reporting requirements are completed within prescribed deadlines.
- Support managers with right-to-work compliance and immigration-related processes.
- Analyse HR data and identify opportunities to improve workforce performance and employee experience.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to support service quality and business growth.
- Contribute to strategic HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
- Proven HR management experience, ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between services.
Desirable
- Experience within the care sector.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and their impact on workforce management and training compliance.
- Previous experience as a Level 1 User on the Sponsorship Management System (SMS).
