Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair a range of advanced laboratory and life science instrumentation
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown support
- Install, commission and validate new systems at customer sites
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting across electrical, electronic, mechanical and software-related faults
- Deliver a high level of customer service within research, pharmaceutical and healthcare laboratories
- Complete service documentation and maintain compliance with company procedures
- Manage parts inventory and company vehicle stock
- Support customers with technical guidance and system optimisation
- Attend manufacturer training courses and continuously develop product knowledge
Person Specification
- Previous Field Service Engineer experience is essential
- Experience within Life Sciences, Laboratory Equipment, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Scientific Instrumentation or other complex electro-mechanical equipment
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently across a regional territory
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to service engineering
