Full job description
Newbery metals are looking for an experienced Scrap Metal Yard Operatives to join their well established team at our Exeter depot.
The skills we are looking for:
- Previous experience in ELV de-pollution highly desirable
- Current forklift licence desirable
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Previous experience in the scrap metal environment, or similar, such as waste, aggregates, recycling yard(s) is required.
- Awareness of how to operate safely and effectively in a large industrial environment.
- Adaptable to meet business priorities.
- Good communication skills.
- Organised, safety conscious, physically fit and motivated.
- Comfortable working outside
- Ability to travel to and from the depot without difficulty
Pay rate negotiable depending on Experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Experience:
- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
- Scrap Metal: 1 year (preferred)
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
