Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling ingredients, and organizing supplies
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies, adhering to hygiene regulations
- Support in dishwashing duties, ensuring all cookware, cutlery, and dishes are sanitized and ready for use
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen tidy and environmentally friendly
- Restock kitchen stations with necessary supplies during service periods
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
