Nexum Electrical is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a permanent role based at a prestigious and well-known location in Edinburgh city centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking for a stable, long-term position working primarily at one site rather than travelling between multiple jobs each day.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, ensuring the electrical installations are maintained to a high standard and that faults and repairs are dealt with efficiently.
Typical duties will include:
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Electrical fault finding and repairs
- Lighting repairs and maintenance
- Emergency lighting testing and repairs
- Minor electrical installation works
- Testing and inspection where appropriately qualified
- Identifying defects and recommending remedial works
- Liaising with site management and other contractors
- Completing job reports and maintenance records
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with good maintenance and fault-finding experience. As this is a client-facing position at a high-profile city centre location, reliability, professionalism and good communication skills are particularly important.
Applicants should ideally have:
- Recognised electrical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good knowledge of commercial electrical installations
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Professional and presentable manner
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Testing & Inspection qualifications would be advantageous
