.As a community-focused employer, I would particularly like to offer opportunities to people who are currently unemployed, especially those who have been out of work for a longer period or who have faced barriers to employment such as childcare responsibilities, mental health challenges, or being autistic or having ADHD. The role has been designed to allow people to build confidence, skills and responsibilities gradually, with plenty of support and training throughout.
The role is a part-time, zero-hours position with a maximum four-day working week.
The core hours available are:
Flexible days between Monday and Sunday, depending on the successful applicant's availability.
Approximately 9:00am until 12:00pm or 1:00pm (minimum 3-4 hours each morning).
Applicants should be available to work up to four mornings per week.
The main role involves:
Carrying out morning wellbeing home visits with vulnerable clients living in homeless accommodation.
Working as part of a two-person team. Completing welfare check-ins. Identifying any support needs.
Reporting repairs or maintenance issues within properties.
Recording visit notes accurately.
There is also the opportunity for additional paid hours through NeuroClean's specialist cleaning and support services, which may include:
Move-in and move-out cleans for homeless accommodation.
Specialist cleaning and practical support for people experiencing hoarding.
Regular and one-off cleaning and support for disabled and neurodivergent clients.
Location of work: The role covers both Hartlepool and Middlesbrough. Morning wellbeing visits and homeless property turnover work take place across both areas. NeuroClean's private domestic clients are primarily based in Hartlepool, so applicants should be willing and able to travel between the two locations when required.
Ideally, applicants will: Be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle.
Already hold a DBS certificate, although this is not essential.
Be eligible to pass an Enhanced DBS check, as one will be required before employment begins.
The role is particularly well suited to people who have experienced long-term unemployment, as it allows them to build their hours, confidence and responsibilities at a sustainable pace with full training and ongoing support from NeuroClean.
To help ensure the role is the right fit for both the applicant and NeuroClean, we offer unpaid pre-employment shadowing sessions. This allows candidates to meet the team, observe the work involved, ask questions, and decide whether they feel comfortable committing to the role before employment begins. If both parties wish to proceed, successful applicants will then complete an Enhanced DBS check, followed by paid training before starting work.
