We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Design & Quality Engineer to join our team. Working alongside our experienced Design & Quality Engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience across product design, quality control, testing, manufacturing and continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants to build a long-term career in mechanical engineering within an international manufacturing business.
The Role
Your work will include:
· Supporting product quality and continuous improvement activities.
· Inspecting products and components to ensure they meet company standards.
· Investigating product and manufacturing issues and helping identify solutions.
· Assisting with product testing, validation and technical documentation.
· Producing and updating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
· Supporting new product development projects from concept through to production.
· Liaising with suppliers and production teams to help maintain product quality.
· Assisting with engineering projects and technical customer support.
Approximately 60% of the role will involve quality engineering and quality control, with the remaining time supporting product design and development.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Educated to degree level (or graduating this year) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
· Interested in both mechanical design and quality engineering.
· Comprehensive knowledge of 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or similar).
· Practical, organised and methodical.
· A logical problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
· A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
· Eager to learn and develop new engineering skills.
· In possession of a full UK driving licence.
Previous industrial placement or engineering work experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
