Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Support catering operations by preparing food for events as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Participate in meal preparation and assist with serving when necessary
- Contribute ideas for menu development and improvement of kitchen processes
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Experience in catering services is an advantage but not essential
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
