Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Netball Coach to join our community sports programme. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports and teaching to inspire athletes, develop their skills, and promote teamwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging coaching sessions, fostering a positive environment, and encouraging a love of netball among participants of various ages 18+ and abilities.
Duties
- Plan and deliver structured netball coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Provide instruction on fundamental techniques, rules, and strategies of netball
- Motivate participants to improve their skills whilst ensuring a fun and inclusive environment
- Monitor and assess players’ progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement
- Organise drills to promote self training
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with squad members regarding progress
Requirements
- Previous sports coaching experience, preferably in netball or similar team sports
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate participants
- Passion for sport, fitness, and skills development
- Ability to organise engaging sessions that cater to diverse skill levels
- Reliable with excellent organisational skills and punctuality
- Available to work 19:30-20:30 Thursday evenings evenings term time only, and maximum 2 Sunday mornings per yr for tournament observations.
This role is ideal for individuals committed to fostering a positive sporting environment while developing their coaching expertise.
0.5hrs will be paid for planning sessions/writing any training plans for squad members
Pay: £30.00 per hour
