Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier/Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to designated addresses within the scheduled timeframe.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secure during transit and undamaged upon delivery.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers as required.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during operations to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving protocols.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling goods or packages.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills for route planning and record keeping.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
