Cadre Components Ltd is looking for a new person to join our small warehouse and production team in Woolston, Warrington.
We are a family-run business supplying ABS edge banding to furniture manufacturers throughout the UK and have been established for over 30 years.
This is a varied, hands-on role, with the main responsibility being the operation of our slitting machines. These are used to cut rolls of edge banding to the exact widths required by our customers.
You do not need previous experience with this particular type of machinery, as full training will be provided. We are much more interested in finding someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in doing a job properly.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Setting up and operating our slitting machines
- Cutting edge banding accurately to customers' required measurements
- Checking widths and quality during production
- Rewinding, labelling and preparing finished rolls
- Picking and packing customer orders ready for dispatch
- Receiving and putting away incoming stock
- Keeping stock and warehouse areas organised
- General warehouse duties when required
- Working with the rest of the team to make sure customer orders are completed correctly and on time
The person we're looking for
As a small team, reliability is particularly important to us. We are looking for someone who turns up on time, is willing to work and can be trusted to get on with the job once fully trained.
You should be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Practical and confident around machinery
- Accurate and good with measurements
- Able to pay attention to detail
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
- Able to handle rolls of material and warehouse stock
- Happy to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willing to help with different tasks when needed
- Looking for a stable, permanent position
Previous warehouse, manufacturing or machine-operating experience would be useful, but it isn't essential.
Working hours
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm
30-minute lunch break each day
No weekend working.
Salary
£30,000 per annum
