We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Specialist Dental Nurse to join the Maxillofacial and Dental team. To provide effective expertise, advice and support to all ward/department teams and ensure the provision of high-quality care to children, young people and their families. Providing high standards of clinical care and support to all staff grades. The role involves the preparation and maintenance of the clinical areas including stocks of materials and equipment and collecting and inputting data into the patient administration system and assisting the Dental and wider MDT on a day-to-day basis.
To be considered for this role you must be a registered Dental Nurse with excellent clinical skills with relevant background in Dental Nursing. It is essential to have demonstrable experience of working in a Dental clinical unit and show qualities of a team player and role model.
We are looking for an individual who is ready for the next move in their career and demonstrates a desire to deliver a positive patient experience, actively involved in the support of the future developments of the service and promotes the effective flow of patients through the department.
You will have support and opportunity to work closely with the department manager, deputy dental nurse manager and the clinical team.
To provide high-quality dental nursing care to children and families.
To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
To assist in the safe, effective and efficient running of the department within allocated resources.
To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
To be familiar with and adopt the principles of the NHS Chief Nursing Officers vision for Compassion In Practice (NHS Commissioning Board Dec 2012).
