About the role
The Environmental Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading and embedding environmental sustainability across a portfolio of projects or business areas. The role provides strategic and operational support to project delivery teams, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, client requirements, and company standards while driving continual improvement and sustainability performance.
This role will cover the South East region so regular travel will be expected to various BB Offices and sites.
What you'll be doing
- Line manage, lead and support a team of Senior ES Advisors, Advisors and
Coordinators/Graduates.
- Ensuring completion of company documentation
- Producing/maintaining permitting and licencing requirements for specific
projects.
- Support with Awards submission entries
- Fully interpret policy, regulation, and legislation across the portfolio
- Providing visible ES leadership across the portfolio.
- Supports one or more high-level/value/complex projects through feasibility
to post construction.
- Drive the identification and sharing of best practice, lessons learned, and
innovative solutions across the portfolio.
Who we're looking for
- Full driving license and flexibility to travel.
- Registered Environmental Professional
- Strong knowledge of environment management with the relevant
experience working in a construction environment.
- Practical experience and sound knowledge of environmental
statutory requirements, including environmental legislation, ecology
mitigation, environmental licencing and consent applications and
regulation.
- Line management experience is desirable.
- Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the
best outcome.
- Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent
planning and organisation skills.
