living services in Hull.

About the Role
As our Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for our Supported
Living and Community services across Hull, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant and
outstanding services. Beyond operational leadership, you will play a pivotal role in
supporting currently 5 individuals across 2 houses, maintaining the highest standards of
quality, governance and person-centred care. You’ll inspire and develop your team, build
strong relationships with stakeholders, and make sure every person we support is treated
with dignity, choice, and respect.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and
the chance to truly shape the way we support people.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Service Development
● Lead, mentor and coach Team Leaders and support teams.
● Be a role model for Moorview Care’s values, culture and person-centred approach.
● Manage service performance against agreed KPIs, quality measures and
organisational objectives.
● Drive best practice and continuous improvement across services.
● Identify opportunities for co-production and ensure the voices of the people we
support influence service development.
● Contribute to regional growth, service development and organisational change.
● Represent Moorview Care at regional forums, contract meetings and provider
forums.
Care & Support Delivery
● Hold overall accountability for the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care.
● Ensure support plans are accurate, current and reflect the individual needs of the
people we support.
● Oversee client goals, health and wellbeing and progress outcomes.
● Ensure care reviews are completed effectively, with appropriate preparation and
follow-up.
● Support assessments, transitions and new referrals into services.
● Lead transition planning to ensure new people joining Moorview Care experience a
safe and well-supported move.
● Promote Active Support, person-centred approaches and positive outcomes.
Positive Behaviour Support
● Provide oversight and accountability for Positive Behaviour Support plans.
● Ensure PBS plans are reviewed, updated and fit for purpose.
● Monitor restrictive practices and promote least restrictive approaches.
● Review behavioural data, incident reports and outcomes.
● Ensure appropriate post-incident support, team debriefs and learning actions are
completed.
Quality, Compliance & Safeguarding
● Hold responsibility for the safe care and treatment of the people we support.
● Ensure services operate in line with CQC requirements, legislation and Moorview
Care standards.
● Lead quality assurance activity, audits and service improvement plans.
● Monitor performance data and take action to improve service delivery.
● Maintain effective safeguarding practices and attend safeguarding meetings where
required.
● Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, health and safety requirements and
regulatory frameworks.
● Lead CQC inspections and complete Provider Information Returns (PIR).
● Submit required notifications to CQC and Local Authorities.
People Leadership & Development
● Ensure teams are safely resourced, trained and developed.
● Coach and develop talent within the locality.
● Monitor training compliance and ensure all mandatory learning is completed.
● Complete supervisions, performance reviews, PDPs and employee relations
processes.
● Support recruitment activity, including interviews and workforce planning.
● Manage sickness absence, annual leave and employee relations matters.
● Promote engagement, retention and a positive team culture.
● Minimise agency usage through effective workforce planning.
Operational & Financial Management
● Have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of services.
● Ensure commissioned hours are delivered and resources are effectively managed.
● Oversee rotas, payroll processes and workforce planning.
● Monitor billable and unbilled hours.
● Contribute to operational budgets and manage local spending effectively.
● Promote financial awareness and identify efficiencies.
● Ensure client finances are managed safely and in line with policy.
Risk, Resources & Governance
● Maintain effective risk management processes across services.
● Approve and oversee risk assessments and risk notifications.
● Maintain local business continuity plans.
● Ensure buildings, vehicles and resources are effectively managed.
● Maintain confidentiality and information governance standards.
● Ensure complaints and compliments are managed appropriately.
● Contribute to strategic projects and business planning.
About You
You’ll be an experienced care leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for
people and developing teams to deliver exceptional support.
You’ll bring:
● NVQ Level 5 qualification or above.
● Experience managing supported living or community-based services.
● Experience leading teams within health and social care.
● Strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding and regulatory
compliance.
● Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
● Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
● Experience managing quality, performance and service improvement.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
● Ability to manage budgets, resources and operational performance.
● Full UK driving licence with business insurance.
● Willingness to travel across a geographical area of supported living services.
