About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role within a small food manufacturing business producing premium hot chocolate and milkshake powders.
As a Production Packer, you will play a key role in ensuring our products are packed accurately, safely and to a consistently high standard. You will work as part of a close-knit team in a clean, dry food production environment where attention to detail is essential.
No previous food manufacturing experience is required, as full training will be provided, although experience within a food production or packing environment would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack powdered food products into paper bags and other retail packaging.
- Weigh products using calibrated equipment to ensure correct pack weights.
- Seal, label and inspect finished products to company quality standards.
- Record batch numbers, production information and traceability records accurately.
- Carry out routine quality checks throughout production.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Follow company food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with preparing workstations, packaging materials and production equipment.
- Report any quality, equipment or food safety concerns immediately.
- Work efficiently to achieve production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Support stock rotation and ensure ingredients and packaging are handled correctly.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties to keep the production area organised and audit-ready.

Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within food manufacturing or food packing.
- Knowledge of food hygiene or food safety procedures.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Experience working within SALSA, BRCGS or similar food manufacturing environments.

This role is a Temporary contract that runs up until 31st of december full time 9am 5pm hours with possibilty for more work in january. the first and second week of august theyre may be a small amount of cross over at the bath site as we transfer over to our new radstock facility.
