Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating Hiab lorries and assisting with labouring tasks as and when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently while supporting site operations as needed. A strong focus on safety, professionalism, and punctuality is essential for this position.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 Hiab lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring securement of loads according to safety standards
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Support site labouring tasks, including assisting with materials handling, site clearance, and organisation
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations during driving and labouring activities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the team regarding schedules and deliveries
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to route plans and traffic regulations
- Need to have full CPC
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with Hiab vehicles or similar lorries
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures related to operating heavy goods vehicles and manual handling tasks
- Valid UK driving licence for HGV Class 2 (category C).
