Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team, specialising in skilled worker switching. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care environments, day centre and outreach. This role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of our clients, with a focus on those requiring specialised dementia, end of life, frail older people. We are looking for an individual genuine commitment to caring for older people and can drive between villages we deliver home care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised patient and senior care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to meet individual dietary needs
- Support clients with behaviour management strategies, especially those experiencing dementia or dementia- related challenges
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings as required
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when necessary
- Assist with light heavy lifting during transfers or mobilisation activities
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided in compliance with organisational policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2years of providing home care-mandatory
- UK driving licence own car and valid business insurance-mandatory
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages, including childcare if applicable
- Ability to handle behaviour management effectively and sensitively
- Excellent communication skills and organisational abilities
- Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and training in areas such as medication administration and specialised care techniques
