Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Conduct comprehensive equipment repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission work, and suspension adjustments.
- Utilize welding skills for metal fabrication and repair tasks on vehicle frames or structural parts.
- Assist with heavy lifting activities safely using appropriate equipment to handle large parts or machinery.
- Maintain detailed service records, update maintenance logs, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and offering advice on vehicle care when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Experience performing maintenance on various types of vehicles or machinery in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, equipment repair, and welding operations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple repair tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
