Seamstress / Tailor required for our military clothing alterations company based in Stirling, but with shops in other parts of the country. We have contracts with the Military and the Police. We are seeking a candidate for our Lossiemouth shop.
We are specialists in the alterations of uniforms (jackets, trousers and skirts ), therefore some training will be given in the wide variety of work we do.
Job role includes:
- Alterations to jackets, trousers and skirts
- Sewing of badges both by hand and machine
- Sewing of ribbons on jackets
- Mounting of medals
- Civilian alterations including dresses, coats, curtains etc.
The candidate must:
- demonstrate the ability to perform alterations to clothing
- be willing to learn via training and on the job
- have attention to detail in their work
- have an ability to work to tight timescales
- Driving license strongly preferred
Possibility of long term progression to a manager role.
Wage dependent on experience.
