The Role
Working alongside the Head of Marketing and Videographer, the Marketing Executive will play an important role in planning, coordinating and delivering marketing campaigns across a range of digital and traditional channels.
The successful candidate will produce creative marketing assets, manage the publishing of content across social media and YouTube, coordinate campaign schedules and work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standard.
This is a broad marketing role offering exposure to graphic design, social media, PR, direct marketing, SEO and emerging AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Design artwork for print advertising, brochures, promotional literature and exhibition materials.
- Produce graphics for social media, email marketing, website content and digital campaigns.
- Design engaging YouTube thumbnails and other digital marketing assets.
- Prepare artwork for both print and digital publication.
- Ensure all creative work reflects the Dawsons brand and maintains a consistently high standard.
Social Media & Digital Publishing
- Manage the publishing schedule across Dawsons' social media channels and YouTube.
- Upload and schedule content across multiple platforms.
- Write engaging captions, titles, descriptions and supporting marketing copy.
- Optimise content using platform best practice.
- Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Keep up to date with social media trends, platform developments and emerging best practice.
Campaign Coordination
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Videographer to maintain the marketing and content schedule.
- Coordinate filming with auction specialists and internal departments.
- Liaise with the Photography Department to source imagery required for marketing campaigns.
- Ensure photography, video and other marketing assets are available ahead of campaign deadlines.
- Assist in planning future marketing campaigns and promotional activity.
Marketing Support
- Support the Head of Marketing with the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Assist with PR activity, including drafting press releases and liaising with media where appropriate.
- Support direct marketing and email marketing campaigns.
- Assist with website updates and online content.
- Maintain marketing asset libraries and campaign documentation.
- Liaise with external suppliers, publications and media partners where appropriate.
Digital Marketing
- Identify and target potential buyers and bidders for highlight lots and monthly specialist sales through targeted direct marketing activity.
- Support the planning and delivery of direct marketing campaigns to maximise bidder engagement and auction performance.
- Support SEO initiatives through content optimisation and website improvements.
- Assist with marketing reporting and campaign analysis.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to improve marketing efficiency, creativity and campaign delivery.
- Keep up to date with developments in digital marketing and contribute ideas for continual improvement.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience in a commercial marketing role, ideally within retail, ecommerce, luxury brands or another customer-focused business.
- Excellent graphic design skills with a strong eye for layout, typography and visual communication.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Experience managing business social media accounts.
- Excellent written English and copywriting skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, collaborative and positive approach.
Desirable
- Experience producing artwork for both print and digital marketing.
- Knowledge of YouTube publishing and optimisation.
- Experience with email marketing platforms.
- PR or media relations experience.
- An understanding of SEO principles.
- Experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform.
- Experience using Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve marketing productivity.
- An interest in art, jewellery, antiques, watches or luxury brands.

Salary & Benefits
- £32,000–£38,000 depending on experience.
