Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Festival Food Trailer Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of vibrant events, providing delicious food to festival-goers. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Candidates should possess a passion for food, good organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of festival food items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist with food presentation and ensure dishes are served promptly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food trailer, including sanitising work surfaces and utensils
- Take customer orders efficiently, upselling menu items where appropriate to maximise sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate POS systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed during shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with festival attendees in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist in setting up and packing down the trailer before and after events
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers, including handling cash transactions and upselling products, is desirable
- Basic maths skills are essential for handling payments accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not required
- Strong time management skills to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service
Pay: £12.21 per hour
