Commercial Venue & Events Manager
Reporting directly to the Managing Director
Full Time | Kilmarnock
Help shape the future of one of Scotland's most exciting venues.
CentreStage is unlike anywhere else.
We're a vibrant live entertainment, hospitality and community venue where concerts, comedy, theatre, conferences, celebrations, corporate events and community programmes all come together under one roof. Every event we deliver helps create opportunities for people to flourish.
We're ambitious, we're growing, and we're looking for an exceptional Commercial Venue & Events Manager to help drive our next chapter.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial success, leading our customer experience and developing an exciting programme of events that keeps people coming back.
This is an opportunity to make your mark in an organisation where your ideas will be heard, your leadership will matter and your impact will be visible every day.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same.
You'll lead our Front of House and Events operation, oversee the successful delivery of live events and venue hire, develop new commercial opportunities and ensure every visitor enjoys an exceptional experience.
One day you could be meeting promoters to secure future live performances.
The next, you'll be working with a corporate client planning a conference, supporting a wedding or celebration, leading your team through a sold-out show or identifying new opportunities to grow income across the business.
You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, improve systems, lead people and help shape the future of one of Scotland's most exciting multi-purpose venues.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead our Front of House and Events operation.
Act as Duty Manager during venue operations and live events, ensuring the safe, smooth and professional running of the venue.
Deliver exceptional customer experiences across every event.
Drive growth in venue hire, events and commercial income.
Develop relationships with promoters, agents, businesses and community partners.
Manage event planning and operational delivery.
Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Work closely with Hospitality, Marketing and the wider leadership team.
Ensure the venue operates safely, professionally and to the highest standards.
About You
You'll be an experienced manager who combines commercial awareness with exceptional people skills.
You might currently work in hospitality, live entertainment, conferences, visitor attractions, leisure, hotels or events. What matters most is your ability to lead people, create outstanding customer experiences and spot opportunities to grow a successful operation.
You'll be someone who:
Leads by example and inspires others.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Builds strong relationships with customers and partners.
Is commercially minded and driven by results.
Loves solving problems and making things happen.
Takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences.
Wants to build something rather than simply maintain it.
Experience in theatre is not essential.
If you've successfully managed customer-focused operations in hospitality, entertainment, leisure, tourism or events, we'd love to hear from you.
Why CentreStage?
This isn't simply another management position.
It's an opportunity to become one of the senior operational leaders within an ambitious organisation that's redefining what a modern venue can be.
You'll report directly to the Managing Director, influence the future direction of the business and help deliver experiences that people remember, while creating lasting impact within our communities.
If you're looking for a role with real responsibility, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build something special, this could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
Ready to Make Your Mark?
If you're an ambitious venue, hospitality or events professional looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
