About the Role
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Rotherham.
This role exists to support the efficient operation of the warehouse by ensuring safe receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of materials and finished goods. contributing to customer satisfaction, production efficiency, and inventory stock control.
This opportunity would suit a team player who is a good communicator and is looking to join a stable, international engineering business with long-term growth plans.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive, inspect, and accurately book in incoming goods and materials.
- Safely store materials and finished products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, prepare, and dispatch customer orders and production requirements accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts and inventory audits.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the warehouse.
- Comply with all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and safety concerns promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores.
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of refractory products or building materials.
Working Pattern & Travel
Full time, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £27,378.00 per annum.
