As a Supervisor (Night Shift) you will be responsible for all operations, running the nightshift, offering direction to all staff whilst maintaining a safe environment.
You will also provide technical advice, knowledge, assistance, and intervention to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant and activities while ensuring adherence to all safe systems of work for all treatment activity and to always work to company Health and Safety policy.
Working 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 5:15pm - 3:00am
Overtime available and expected in line with business needs
Rate of Pay: £21.54ph +nightshift premium
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and motivate the night shift team, taking responsibility for all activity on site, reporting directly to the Facility Supervisor.
- Oversee and ensure procedures are adhered to for all activities of any shop floor operative involved in the production process.
- Ensure plant, material and equipment is available to meet the operational demands placed upon the loading team, in a safe and efficient manner
- Provide equipment and training to new starters, apprentices, and personnel in the department.
- Communicate the activities of the loading team, regularly keeping Production management, supervisors, and operational staff up to date with process of activities to ensure problems are reported & resolved.
- Ensure all daily, weekly & monthly paperwork / check sheets are completed correctly and authorised.
Requirements:
- General level of education together with a reasonable level of IT skills.
- Ability to interpret production and logistical documentation & loading specifications.
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships with shop floor operatives, the production office staff and wider Grantham personnel.
- Engaging communicator who can articulate themselves clearly.
- Can demonstrate a strong work ethic, is self-motivated and resilient.
- Works well using their own initiative and pays attention to detail.
- Commitment to completing deadline driven tasks and meeting the needs of the customer.
- Enthusiastic and engaging team member who will positively contribute to the continued development of the team and wider business
