We're looking for a Senior Engineer – Civils to join our River Infrastructure team based in Bristol.

You'll be working within Kier's 700 strong internal consultancy Kier Design, supporting the delivery of Civil Infrastructure Engineering related services. You'll contribute to the delivery of more complex services by providing solutions which are safe and buildable whilst achieving the clients' goals. You'll be part of a growing team delivering infrastructure projects for clients such as the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, and Mining Remediation Authority.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Engineer – Civils, you'll be working within the River Infrastructure team, supporting them in delivering infrastructure projects for key clients. Your day to day will include:
- Reviewing and agreeing technical requirements of the client remit, questioning and challenging where necessary
- Organising and leading the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and company policies, including CDM Regulations and the Kier SHE Management System
- Contributing to the financial and commercial management of projects, including progress monitoring and change control
- Delivering alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's competitive position
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Engineer – Civils is great for you if:
- You have experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
- You're comfortable using your own judgement when managing uncertainty and technical risk
- You have relevant postgraduate experience in the design of hydraulic structures or river engineering, or similar
- You're a Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
- You hold a Full driving licence
