Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and operating efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot various issues as they arise. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and functional environment for all staff and visitors.
Responsibilities (a very brief outline )
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical where possible .
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and parts used.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of equipment for events or other activities as required.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.
- Collaborate with external contractors for specialised repairs or services when necessary.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance role or similar position is essential .
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with Residents and management.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours if urgent maintenance is needed.
