The Opportunity
Poynton Law Limited is looking to expand our network of experienced legal professionals to conduct face-to-face home visits for Equity Release clients across the South East and South West of England.
We are looking for Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers and Chartered Legal Executives who can represent Poynton Law and provide a professional, reassuring service to our later-life clients in their own homes.
You do not need to cover the entire South East or South West. We welcome applications from professionals able to cover specific counties, towns, postcode areas or a defined radius from their location.
This is a flexible opportunity that can be undertaken alongside existing professional commitments. Our team will coordinate appointments and provide the relevant documentation and instructions ahead of each visit.
The Role
As an Equity Release Agent representing Poynton Law, you will conduct pre-arranged face-to-face appointments with clients in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing the required face-to-face legal advice in relation to the client's Equity Release transaction.
- Ensuring clients understand the nature and legal implications of the transaction.
- Completing and witnessing the required legal documentation.
- Checking, obtaining and certifying the client's identification documents during the appointment.
- Returning certified ID and all completed documentation promptly following the appointment.
- Identifying and reporting any concerns regarding capacity, vulnerability or undue influence.
- Providing a professional, patient and reassuring service to later-life clients.
- Representing Poynton Law to a consistently high professional standard.
Areas of Coverage
We are particularly looking to increase our coverage throughout the South East and South West of England.
This includes areas such as:
South East: Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.
South West: Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and surrounding areas.
You are not expected to cover the entire region. When applying, please specify the counties, towns, postcode areas or geographical radius you would be happy to cover.
Applicants who are able to provide wider regional coverage are also encouraged to apply.
Fee
A flat fee of £120 per completed home visit will be paid.
The £120 fee is all-inclusive, and no additional mileage, fuel or travel expenses are payable.
About You
Applicants must be appropriately qualified as one of the following:
- Solicitor of England & Wales
- Licensed Conveyancer
- Chartered/Qualified Legal Executive
You should also:
- Hold any appropriate current practising certificate or professional authorisation required for your qualification.
- Have excellent communication and client-care skills.
- Be confident conducting appointments independently in clients' homes.
- Be comfortable working with older and potentially vulnerable clients.
- Be confident checking and certifying identification documentation.
- Be professional, organised and reliable.
- Have access to suitable transport for the areas you agree to cover.
Previous experience in Equity Release, later-life lending, residential conveyancing or property law is highly desirable.

Poynton Law has a growing Equity Release department working with advisers and later-life lending professionals throughout England and Wales.
We are looking to build a strong network of reliable legal professionals who can act as trusted local representatives of Poynton Law.
Appointments will be coordinated by our team based on your agreed geographical coverage and availability, giving you the flexibility to undertake appointments that suit your location and existing commitments.
