Registered Home Manager
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Liam at Amber Mace is working alongside a Care Home Provider in the Maidstone area to find a Registered Manager to join their team.
We’re looking for an ambitious, passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist dementia care home in Maidstone.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care professional who wants to take ownership of a service, inspire a dedicated team and make a genuine difference to the lives of residents.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, leadership and performance of the home, ensuring residents receive the highest possible standards of care and support.
You will be responsible for creating a positive culture across the service, leading from the front and ensuring that residents are at the heart of every decision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong, visible and effective leadership across the home.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred dementia care.
- Managing and developing a dedicated care team, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
- Overseeing recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance management.
- Ensuring staffing levels are appropriate to meet the needs of residents.
- Maintaining excellent standards of care planning, risk assessments, medication and safeguarding.
- Taking responsibility for quality assurance, audits and continuous service improvement.
- Ensuring the home operates in line with CQC regulations, legislation and best practice.
- Building strong and professional relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
- Responding confidently to challenges and ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- Monitoring resident outcomes and ensuring care plans remain accurate, meaningful and regularly reviewed.
- Creating a warm, welcoming and homely environment where residents feel valued, respected and listened to.
- Leading by example and developing a team that shares your passion for exceptional care.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
- Strong previous experience managing a care service.
- Proven dementia care experience.
- A strong understanding of CQC requirements, compliance and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- The ability to motivate, develop and retain a strong team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions and drive improvements.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
