Kronia® is looking for a Software Quality Engineer – Automation to support the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
The role will focus primarily on test automation, while also requiring hands-on participation in manual and functional testing activities. The ideal candidate combines strong automation engineering expertise with solid QA fundamentals, the ability to design and maintain testing frameworks, and practical experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve testing efficiency and software quality.
This position requires close collaboration with software engineers and QA peers throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to test strategy, automation coverage, defect prevention, and a shared ownership culture for product quality.
You’ll be doing:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites and testing frameworks for web applications.
- Perform manual and functional testing when required to complement automation coverage.
- Define and implement test strategies, test plans, test cases, and quality assurance best practices.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain UI automation using Selenium and modern automation frameworks.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Continuous Testing (CT) practices and automation frameworks.
- Develop and execute API testing and API automation as part of end-to-end quality validation.
- Investigate, document, triage, and track defects through resolution and verify implemented fixes.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify testing gaps and improve overall test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews, release activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
- Leverage Generative AI tools to support automation scripting, test maintenance, test documentation, failure analysis, and test data generation.
- Contribute to quality engineering standards and promote shared ownership of software quality across development and QA teams.
The skills you bring:
- 4+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering, QA Automation, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation, complemented by solid manual testing capabilities.
- Strong experience with Selenium for UI web automation.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), QA concepts, test planning, test strategy, and test data management.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and concepts.
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD and Continuous Testing practices using technologies such as Jenkins, Git, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, EC2, and CloudWatch.
- Experience working within Agile environments using Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Practical experience using Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions for test generation, script maintenance, documentation, and failure analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex quality issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with distributed engineering teams.

Pay: £321.50-£689.55 per year
