About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworks Operative / Labourer to join our established team. We specialise in high-quality external works including fencing, paving (porcelain, natural stone & block paving), kerbing and drainage systems for residential and commercial clients.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and excavating ground for various projects
- Installing fencing (timber, metal, and concrete)
- Paving (porcelain, natural stone, and block paving) installation and repairs
- Kerb laying / kerbing works
- Installing and maintaining drainage systems (surface water drainage, French drains, soakaways, and associated works)
- Operating small plant and hand tools safely
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working as part of a small team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks, fencing, paving (porcelain, natural stone & block paving), kerbing and drainage systems (essential)
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Fluent English speaker – both written and verbal (essential for safety and communication)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous
