Job Description
You will be responsible for delivering a high level of service to a broad portfolio of personal, sole trader, partnership and limited company clients, including:
- Preparation of accounts and tax returns
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Providing assistance, advice and support to colleagues and clients
- Attending training courses and continuing professional development
- Working in line with internal systems, processes and standards
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 4.30pm (30-min lunch break)
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C / 4 or above
- 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above
- AAT qualification (or working towards it), or equivalent
- Experience working in a UK accounting practice
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge and experience of accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Initiative, problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude
- Ambition, professionalism and a passion for delivering excellent client service
